Checking Messages. <p>A lunchtime break on a beautiful sunny summer day is a good time to check messages on your phone.  As is usually the case for my work, the painting is all about the light, warm sunlight and cool shadows.  An irresistible subject for me, and thankfully found all around us.</p> The Move. In Washington Square Park, New York City, I came upon one of many chess games in progress. The player of black contemplates his next move with the intensity necessary to be a winner.
